OH, the humanity!

After making my post on [info]lifeprintman, I decided to go back and see what LJAbuse has taken from me since I got this Journal.

1.) First post, about the suspension of MICHICHU. Dated: January 06.
2.) LJ Circle Jerk. Dated: Jan 20.
3.) FAYGAGGOTINC. Dated: Jan 21
*3a somewhat related.
4.) My friends and yours, CDAAE and YELLOW_FINCH. Dated: Feb 27.
5.) Most recently, my latest post about LIFEPRINTMAN. Dated: March 19.

Add that up, and that's at least one suspension per month. Three in January.

Read that carefully. Unfortunately, your eyes do not deceive you: ACCOUNT CREATED SOLELY TO HARASS AND IMPERSONATE AN INDIVIDUAL.

There's that word again, HARASSMENT. But what does it mean, exactly? I don't think LJAbuse knows themselves.

Dictionary.com says:
ha·rass
tr.v. ha·rassed, ha·rass·ing, ha·rass·es

1. To irritate or torment persistently.
2. To wear out; exhaust.
3. To impede and exhaust (an enemy) by repeated attacks or raids.


Who was [info]lifeprintman harrassing, exactly? Dr. William Vicars? That's what LJ Abuse is implying. I don't really see [info]lifeprintman irritating and tormenting Dr. William Vicars persistently. How is that even possible? Was he e-mailing the good Dr with all of his comments and .gifs? Did he troll the real Dr. William Vicars? And who is to say that he is not actually the real Dr. William Vicars?

So we must conclude, that in its very existence, the journal [info]lifeprintman was harassment through impersonating a real person, and portraying him in a humorous and fictitious manner.

What about [info]terrischiavo? Or any number of journals pretending to be celebrities? What about all those fangirls that RP as a gay Orlando Bloom in his illicit threesome with Johnny Depp AND Viggo Morgensen where they perform many illegal acts involving bananas? Is that harrassment? Were all of them created SOLELY TO HARRASS AND IMPERSONATE AN INDIVIDUAL?

What about [info]jesus? Or, even racier, [info]jesus_the_gay?

Anyone feeling the logic here?

LJ Abuse doesn't like people with senses of humor.

It should be obvious by now that they're preps who don't like the normal people, and listen to any gossip they hear.

I read ljablogger's "harassment" post, and I started to question LJA myself. I've never had any problems with Abuse, but this thing anyway caugh my eye;

Remember, LJ cares about freedom of speech even if you're a pedophile, but there are some things they just won't tolerate and that includes laughing at people. Be as racist as you like, call someone a satanist and a child molester, and LiveJournal will defend your right to free speech, but mock people for their blinkie icons, hundreds of colorbars, or terrible "cosplay" costumes, and LJ Abuse will come after you frothing at the mouth.

This is the sort of reason why I was going to try and get on LJA, but since they would comb through my LJ and all comments I have ever made, I decided it was in my best interest to avoid LJA Big Brother's gaze of doom.

Just like DeviantArt, they will trod on someone or something in this daze of theirs, and end up fucking themself. I believe the day I realized we were all doomed here was when they didn't hire [info]kvance for tech support. He knows Brad or something, is a mad programmer and didn't get hired. It still spooks me, and gives me a cold sweat.

I actually was just looking at that LJ today, as I'm friended and didn't know who it was :) It's maddening! What happened to the days of paid users getting the benefit of the doubt? Six Apart, what are you doing to us? ;_;

Yeah, it's a pretty sketchy deal. I wonder how anybody gets on LJA in the first place.

What happened at DA? I don't know anything about this particular dramu.

What really sucks is when it happens to paid users, or permanent accounts. It stops being "lol, internet" when there's money involved. [info]michichu had a full year on it when it got suspended, and thanks to them, they ruined my gift from [info]onsan.

oh, DA allows tracing and reproductions or something, and if someone IS flat stealing, if you put a message about about it to them of anywhere public you can get banned, but the thief is ok cause they didn't "harass" anyone.

Yeah, its ridiculous when they won't even let you find out the real reason, or trump one up, when you are paying good money for their service. I don't give two shits if they are volunteers, this is a monitary transaction and we should have good service. Better Business Bureau indeed.

ahaha, there were some big Terri Schiavo journals around this time last year chronicling the whole media blitz. Some were really rightist, some were really leftist, some were just pushing their own agenda, there was one that tried really, REALLY hard to be offensive.

[info]terrischiavo remains my favourite, though. She's a sweetie. You should go back and read the entries made when the real Terri was still "alive".
